Why regular check-ups matter
Many dental problems, including early decay, gum disease and cracks, develop quietly without pain. By the time they hurt, treatment is usually bigger. A check-up lets us find them early, when a small filling or a professional clean is often enough. We also look at your existing fillings, crowns and veneers, check your bite for signs of grinding and examine the soft tissues of your mouth. For most people a visit every six months works well, although we may suggest more frequent visits if you have gum problems or a higher risk of decay.
