Urgent dental care · New Cairo

Prompt help for toothache, swelling, broken teeth and dental injuries — we aim to see urgent cases quickly.

Dental problems rarely wait for a convenient moment. When you are in pain, have swelling or have damaged a tooth, contact us straight away: we aim to see urgent cases as quickly as possible, relieve pain first and then plan the right long-term treatment.

What counts as an emergency?

Contact us promptly for severe or throbbing toothache, swelling of the gum or face, a broken or cracked tooth, a tooth knocked loose or out, a lost filling or crown, bleeding that will not stop after an extraction, or injuries from sport or accidents. Some situations need immediate hospital care instead: swelling that spreads towards the eye or neck, difficulty breathing or swallowing, a high fever, or a head injury. In those cases, go to the nearest emergency department first; we can treat the dental cause once you are safe.

What to do before you reach us

For a knocked-out adult tooth, time matters. Hold it by the crown, not the root, rinse it briefly if dirty and, if you can, place it gently back in the socket; otherwise keep it in milk and come immediately. Do not try to put a knocked-out baby tooth back. For a broken tooth, keep any pieces and rinse your mouth gently with warm water. For toothache, simple pain relief can help while you wait, but never place aspirin on the gum. A cold compress on the cheek reduces swelling.

At the clinic

We start by understanding what happened and relieving pain. An examination and digital X-ray show the cause, whether it is an infected nerve, a cracked tooth or a problem with the gum. Depending on the situation, we may clean and dress the tooth, begin root canal treatment, smooth or bond a broken edge, re-cement a crown, splint a loose tooth or drain an infection. Antibiotics are prescribed only when they are truly needed. Once you are comfortable, we explain the options for a lasting repair and plan them at a pace that suits you.

§Questions, answered

Emergency Dentistry

My tooth hurts at night. Is that an emergency?

Toothache that wakes you, throbs or lingers after hot or cold often means the nerve is inflamed or infected. It is worth being seen soon, even if the pain comes and goes, because the problem usually gets worse without treatment. Simple pain relief can help in the meantime.

Will antibiotics fix my toothache?

Usually not on their own. Antibiotics can help when an infection is spreading or causing swelling and fever, but they do not remove the cause inside the tooth. Toothache from an inflamed nerve needs dental treatment, such as a root canal or, in some cases, extraction.

What should I do if a crown or veneer comes off?

Keep the restoration safe in a small container and avoid chewing on that side. Do not glue it back with household adhesive. Contact us so we can check the tooth underneath and, in many cases, re-cement the original crown or veneer.

Results vary from person to person. Every treatment plan is decided after an in-person clinical examination.
